THROUGH HISTORY
A breath of fresh air in the Media
Our story started in 2007, when I begun to realize that there was a lack
of individuals with holistic knowledge about television in the media field
as well as a lack of schools offering that kind of knowledge. Therefore, I
created the media studies lab Control TV.
Two years later, I decided to rename the lab, giving it the name New
Media Studies. We chose this name because we were the first to
perceive the power of the new media and the immense development of
TV content.
Times had changed and for today’s journalist, being good
just for the newspapers or the radio was not enough anymore. He had to be equally good on television and even more on the internet.The media sector has changed radically and new technologies have created new rules for journalism.
In 2013, we renewed our curriculum, by emphasizing on the needs and the demands of the job market and injecting new modules and more experience.

OUR VISION
A new era of journalism begins.
My vision is that New Media Studies constitutes the center of creation,
innovation, advanced learning and mental energy for the realm of media
and communication. I want to encourage young people to realize their
creative abilities, to discover themselves and to bring their talent on the
surface, by focusing on each one of them individually. More and more
young people nowadays turn to journalism, either on a professional
level or as amateurs. What is the thing that makes some of them stand
out though? It is not just the nature of their personal talent, the skills and
the creativity that characterizes them, but most importantly it is the
circumstances and conditions that allow creativity and talent to excel.
And that’s what I want to offer to our students. The right conditions to
become tomorrow’s journalists.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Become a true NMSer!
I don’t want NMS graduates to be one more amongst
journalists. My dream is that they become the visionary
leaders of tomorrow who will act as the carriers of
change in society and the creators of a new level of
communication in TV, radio and the internet. With ethos,
unprejudiced thinking and profound pursuit of truth as
their primary values, they will be able to become
independent fighters and supporters of fairness. This is
who I want NMS graduates to be!

Always next to the youth.
Young people are the future of this country and it is everyone’s duty to
guide them, to advise them and to be next to them always. I feel proud every time that I participate in White Minds, the institution that aims at inspiring fresh minds. In this way, I have the opportunity to transfer το them my experiences and life lessons as well as to get in touch with them. I hope that my stories have helped at least one among the thousands of young minds I have encountered.

After my personal experience with the monster of depression, a life purpose was born inside me: to support and help those who are giving their own battles.That’s why we created www.kontasou.com. www.kontasou.com, which the first online communication platform about depression. A platform that is easily accessible, direct and reachable by anyone that needs support and information regarding depression.
TIME FOR ACTION
I want to help..
I feel the need to help those who are suffering in a meaningful
way. That’s why I decided to write relevant books, always
speaking from my own experience and giving an example to
people that they can overcome what they are struggling with
too.
«Στιγμές Τηλεόρασης» η πρώτη μου συγγραφική προσπάθεια, αναφέροντας σημαντικά γεγονότα που συγκλόνισαν την Ελλάδα και τον τρόπο που τα χειριστήκαμε δημοσιογραφικά.
«To Τέρας κι εγώ», το δεύτερο βιβλίο μου, με θέμα την κατάθλιψη. Θέλησα να μεταφέρω στον κόσμο τη μάχη μου με το τέρας και να δώσω το μήνυμα ότι μπορεί να νικηθεί.
